What Does it Mean to Learn to Think like a Chef?

In celebration of the 2018 Cambridge Science Festival, Dr. Beth Altringer and Chef Tracy Chang bring you an afternoon exploring how five Boston chefs ‘design’ flavor experiences.
We will debut a short flavor film made by Altringer (Desirability Lab at Harvard), featuring chef-owners Chang (Pagu), Michael Pagliarini (Giulia, Benedetto), Tse Wei Lim, Diana Kudayarova, and Sam Treadway (Backbar).
After the viewing, try your own hand at thinking like these chefs by experimenting with acids, umami, fats, sweetness and bitterness with our special snack and beverage pairings (food, wine, beer).
